Northern Nyonya Food at Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya
Peony Garden is a newly opened restaurant at Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya which serves northern nyonya food. Meow heard of good reviews from her colleagues on the home-cook style dishes by the restaurant. The restaurant has been operating for less than a year now and business is pretty good. Meow and I have been visiting the restaurant regularly after over first visit. The restaurant decorations give me a warmth and comfortable feeling and that makes it perfect with the home-cook dishes.
Alice wears many hats in the restaurant, taking orders and settling the bills.
Peony Garden restaurant uses specially embossed plate (Peony), which adds up to the special serving style. All the three shown dishes are our favourite dishes, namely Gulai Ikan (Fish), Lorbak (Pork) and Asam Prawn. I would highly recommended them, especially to new customers.
Peony Garden restaurant is only about 6km from Ikano, Curve and it is closed on Monday. The operating hours are from 11am to 3pm and 6pm to 11pm. Meow thinks that the dishes taste better than Ah-Tuan-Ee at Curve and also cheaper. Definitely a must-try for all nyonya food lovers!
