New Millionaires Book Contributor - Sunny Tan
I was reading the The New Millionaires (Work From Home Make Money Online Live Like a Millionaire) book by Gobala Krishnan again in the afternoon. I was looking for new ideas or inspirations on what can I do on the internet. As I was browsing through the Table of Content for an interesting section, I was attracted to the Google Adsense cash with article directories section by Sunny Tan.
Sunny Tan is a Computer Science graduate who ventured into internet business with the idea of earning extra pocket money. When he first started off, he wrote an e-book that guides people on how to save gas on his website. Then, he expanded by asking other writers to post articles on his website. He has made quite good money from Google Adsense ads income that he even financed his new house with his online money.
Sunny gave a very good tip on how can an article directory website avoid duplicate content which is not well liked by Search Engines. In order to gain better search results from Search Engines, it is a good practice to have a local domain name. For example, Sunny’s article directory website (tips.com.my) has the .my or dot-my at the end of its domain name. It is also hosted in Malaysia. The reason being is that let’s say tips.com.my and tips.com both have the same article, search results from Malaysia will display results from tips.com.my website first. In order words, tips.com.my website is more visible to Malaysia surfers in comparison to tips.com website. Google Search Engines display the search results based the surfers geographical location. Sunny gives a very good tip on why and when to have a local domain name for a website.
