Beautiful Flowers Collection
I would like to share some beautiful flowers that were taken over a period at Siu-Q and Kitty’s garden. Their master is a very good gardener and landscape designer, with mood swings. It makes me think, GOD is superb in his creative creations.
Teluk Intan Leaning Tower in Perak
The world famous Pisa Leaning Tower is the pride of the Italians while Teluk Intan Leaning Tower is the pride of Teluk Intan residents. In the early days, the town was known as Teluk Mak Intan, named after a female trader. During the British era, the town name was changed to Teluk Anson (Anson Bay), in honour of a British Officer. In early 1980s, the name was changed again to Teluk Intan (Diamond Bay) by the Sultan of Perak. Whenever I drop by Teluk Intan, I can always see the Teluk Intan Leaning Tower in the middle of the town.
Anson Chee Cheong Fun
Anson (also known as Teluk Intan) which is located in Perak state, is popular for its variety of food. One of them is Chee Cheong Fun! I hardly missed it whenever I drop by Anson. The original shop is known as Liew Kee (Ah Lek) Chee Cheong Fun, located at Jalan Pasar (Pasar Road). The shop has been operating for more than 30 years and is into it’s third generation. Normally, the lady owner operates the shop with her son and three Indonesian helpers. Occasionally, the husband will drop by to help out, especially when the business is extremely good over festival like Chinese New Year . During this time, people will usually queue from the doorstep up till the roadside and it can be up to 200 people! It simply means the chee cheong fun is so tasty and great that people are willing to wait! It starts operating from 8:00pm to 5:00am, the next day. The shop normally supply chee cheong fun to other shops and also to individuals that drop by.
Melawati Hill Cousins - Silvered Leaf Monkeys
I went back to Melawati Hill with the Ben family. After hearing and reading the earlier posts on Melawati Hill posts, they were very eager to pay the cousins a visit. We brought 5 packets of Tesco Shandong peanuts for the silvered leaf monkeys.
Sekinchan Paddy field
If we ever want to escape from the brisk life-style of the city, I would recommend a trip to the Sekinchan paddy fields at Selangor, Malaysia. It is about 1 hour and half away from Kuala Lumpur via the Kepong - Sungai Buloh - Kuala Selangor way. The coastal road provides a nice breeze drive plus lots of delicious seafood!
Melawati Hill Farewell
After being at the hill for less than an hour, a choo-choo train dropped by for anyone who would like to go back down hill. The place is pretty quiet without the visitors and *cousins*. It is definitely a great visiting place for both locals and foreigners.
Melawati Hill - Meeting Our *Cousins*
When we reached the top, we finally had the chance to meet our cousins. They are very friendly and tame. Even though, they live in the jungle, they are not as wild as the wildlife creatures. They are everywhere at the top of the Melawati Hill, on the road, up the trees and even sitting on the bench like human.
